A little bit inspired ;-)

It's been a while since I last posted something here. I haven't been remiss in my blogging duties but I have been slacking off a bit because I wasn't too inspired to write. Now, though, I am a little bit inspired! I am thanking a local writer whom I have been reading and following for the past two or three years. I am currently reading the latest book she wrote and I am loving every page of it! It is making my creative juices flowing...
I have three finished projects that I am debating whether to submit now or edit some more. I want to submit one but I have yet to decide on a pseudonym that I'll be using. It's a tough decision because I want the name to reflect my personality, writing style, and, at the same time, be an interesting one that it will immediately catch the attention of a book shopper looking for a new name to read.
My sister has been throwing random names at me but I am not too excited over it. I think I will know the perfect name once I hear it. Meanwhile, I am finishing two more projects... and an English erotic one that I am thinking of submitting to an international publication using a completely different name than the one I will use locally.
I have so many plans for my Plan B. I am excited for my alternative career to take off but I am taking it slow, one step at a time. I don't want to take off too early and find myself crashing around my ears. I want a sure career for my Plan B just like my local author idol who's built a solid career in writing romance novels. She is really good! One of these days, I will post a link to a review that I am planning to do on all her books that I already read so far.
Yes, I am a little bit inspired and I will use this opportunity to finish one project tonight. Hopefully!
;)

Two Ex-Bestfriends
Best friend back in Grade 6 to 2nd Year High School is now happily in a relationship with a foreigner. I keep seeing her status updates in Facebook about the guy. They are currently abroad traveling together. They seem happy with each other. The guy's good-looking and seems to be someone with sense. Ha-ha!
A part of me is envious because she finally found someone. Maybe, one day, I will find mine, too? This year? Next?
Best friend back in college days who was formerly a high school close friend is married to a woman who I think manipulated him in more ways than one. I remember when he used to hang out here at home, he would tell me about his plans for the future, of how he wanted to have a family of his own, wife AND KIDS! But the woman had no plans of conceiving, obviously, because she has a set of nephew and nieces she adores so much. She sicced her nephew and nieces on him and, well, they became their 'babies'. I feel sad for him. He wanted to have a large family of his own because he was an only child and his father abandoned him and his mother in favor of a new family with a couple of kids. Oh, well, it may not be the life he wanted but it is now the life that he chose.
I miss the latter a lot. He used to be my confidante, the person with whom I could tell my worries and fears about my career and finances. We used to share dreams about the future especially in our careers and immediate family. When he got married, it all changed. It's okay with me. I just miss the friend I used to have.
I will be completely happy on my own eventually, I know that. For now, I just let myself feel sadness, envy, and then I tell myself to move on.

Burnt out!
The drive isn't there anymore.
'Yan ang lagi kong naiisip na pilit kong inaalis sa isipan ko. Nakakahiya kasi na sa rami ng blessings na dumarating sa akin, hindi ko dapat naiisip ang ganito. Hindi ako dapat nakakaramdam ng pagod.
But the truth is that I am exhausted beyond exhaustion! I think you call this burnt out. I have no one to blame but myself, of course. I have spread myself too thin and this is the price I have to pay for pushing myself too far.
I've been thinking of so many things the past several days. To be honest, I am now thinking more and more of going back to the corporate world. For real, this time around. I still scared of going back but the excitement is also present alongside the fright. I know I can do it! For how long is the question. Hahaha!
I am crossing my fingers and praying really hard that things will fall into place very soon. My mind might still change in the next couple of days but I think I can safely say that I am 65% sure of going back to being a corporate rat.

Money is what I need!

We are having the second floor of our house renovated. It is being prepped for my brother and his soon-to-be wife with their unborn baby in mind, of course. To date, I am already shelling out thousands of peso for the renovation and there will be more to budget in the coming days.
Needless to say, I need more money to pour in. It is pouring out faster and who wants money to flow out that way, right? I need cash and some sectors of my life are not cooperating. Hmp!
I will write an update once the second floor is close to completion.
The rest of July 2013, please be extra good to me financially please!

Busy month ahead.
It will be one heck of a month, I am sure of it! June will be a busy month for me as I am helping my brother and his fiancee prepare their wedding. I am all stressed out over it particularly on the budgeting part. We don't have that much in terms of finances right now so it's doubly hard to shell out money.
I learned that preparing a wedding can be a pain in the ass! And no matter how hard you try to be as frugal as possible, the cost is still staggering! I can't believe that a suit can cost as much! Or a bouquet of calla lilies! Ugh!
Of course, at the end of the day, it's still about the couple getting married. At the end of the day, I am still helping prepare the wedding of our only brother (the other one passed away more than a decade ago).
I just wish I can get enough funds to cover everything including the very expensive photo and video coverage services!
June, please be good to me! Please rain in more blessings as I truly need it.

Very near completion...
Less than 3K words and I am done with the very first one. Yeah!
It was hard. I thought it would only take me close to two weeks to get it completed but I was wrong. It was hard to give birth to words if you are in a situation. You really need to be away from it all. You need to know how to separate your reality from the world you are trying to create and temporarily live in.
Good thing I have someone to push me to move forward and complete my very first. If it wasn't for my sister Meng, I would have set it aside like I always do and just let my dream of being one pass.
I can already taste the fulfillment of completing 24K words!
Very soon...
But then after that, it will be on to editing. Haha!

The Place
I need to find the place where I can complete all my ongoing projects. I have a lot of works-in-progress right now but since I can't really find the motivation to finish at least one, I have to find a way to force myself to do so. I know I am uninspired with my current location: noisy surroundings, messy corner, cluttered desk. I need a new venue where I can feel inspiration coursing through my veins.
How about a hotel room somewhere in the city then?
I just wish I have the money to stay even for a whole weekend.

Drawing inspiration from others...
Whenever I find myself lacking inspiration for what I do, I browse similar sites to draw inspiration from others. And it has been an effective way for me to become inspired once again.
Like right now I am totally inspired by this blog I saw. I won't name it anymore but suffice it to say that she has content that interests me. No, I am NOT a plagiarist or a spammer or a copycat! I work hard for all the blogs that I have and I intend to continue doing so. I just need to see something that will call to my creative side. I need to see the work of others so I know what I will improve on mine.
Thank you, inspiring blog! I truly need the motivation to work harder.

Something needs to change ASAP!
Themes. Templates. Layout.
Topics. Niche?
Schedule of posting.
Way of writing. Already have an idea how.
Ratio of paid versus non-paid posts.
I got an offer from a DA. Just a copy-paste opportunity. No sweat! It would have been easy money for me but then the DA changed his mind. Do you know why? My blog has links in almost every post, according to the guy. Ugh!
To say I was disappointed was an understatement. Of course, I was already expecting that money to come in. I already have a very good plan for that money but then it was not meant to be.
I have now decided that something needs to be changed as soon as possible or I will lose opportunities like that again.
Any concrete ideas to help me out?

Cheers to all!

I have so many plans for this new year 2013. Plans for my personal life. Plans for blogging. Plans for my career. Yes, I am making a change in my career but I am still undecided as to what change that will be. Will I really go back to the corporate world and practice my real profession, a certified public accountant? Or will I make a shift in go in the writing and print business? Decisions...
I also would like to make a change in my lifestyle. A healthier me is now a must! I am trying to cut down on my rice intake. I am weighing whether I can stop myself from eating rice 6 days a week. Sunday will be my cheat day. Can I do it? We'll see.
And then there's my blogging plans. I have so many that my mind is reeling from all of it. I will begin rolling out all those plans one day at a time. Slowly but surely.
I am praying that all my plans will work out right and will fall into place very soon.
Happy New Year people! Praying for a productive, fruitful and blessed 2013 for all of us!

How I would like to spend the holidays.
If it's only up to me, and I am living all alone, I would spend the holidays just lazing around the house with the TV on and reading all the books I can get my hands on.
That's how I would like to spend the holidays!
Do you find it sad? Don't be. I am yearning for some peace and quiet. I live in a neighborhood where it's already a tradition for the people to sing their hearts out on special occasions. Now that it's just a little bit over a day before Christmas, you can only imagine the level of noise in and around the house. I am also yearning for some "me" time and the holidays would have been the best time to do just that.
But as I am surrounded by family, I can't spend the holidays the way I want to.
Anyway, here's some Strawberry Santas for all of you...

Progress of Plan B
I stopped the words pouring forth from my pen. For now. I have a lot of tasks to complete and I am setting up new ones so it will have to take a backseat but just for the meantime. I will get back to it as soon as I catch up.
I have a couple of ideas running through my head. I want to put it on paper but if I start I won't have enough time for the tasks pending.
Anyway, the ideas won't go anywhere naman. It will stay with me, or in my notebook hehe, until I have enough time to write it.
December is already nearing the half of it. Ang bilis!
How's your month so far?
If you ask me, it has been filled with lakwatsa so far. I am loving the frequent malling! I just hope there will be more blessings in store before the month/year ends.

Near the end of 2012...
Can you believe it? It's now November 3! A couple more weeks and 2012 is done. Whew!
I don't know with you but I feel as if time is speeding by like a bullet train. One minute you are looking forward to the semestral break and now, come Monday, school is back again. All Saints and Souls Days are also over.
Tomorrow, November 4th, the Christmas season is officially on!
Are you prepared for the holidays already? Once payments from programs come in, I will start preparing for it.
Have a great November everyone! I hope this month will be really good to me.

Hello October!!!
September is done. It's been so-so for me. Up and down it went and I am just glad that it's through.
I am praying October will be a good one for me. I need to save up and I need to work not only doubly hard but also triple and even a dozen times harder now that Christmas is fast approaching.
I need money!!!
Hahaha!
Well, I better do that organizing I talked about last first week of September then. Better get on with it!
Happy October 1st everyone!

Time to seriously organize my other blogs!
I have a lot of blogs that I maintain. I update each and every one of those blogs as regularly as I can. Sometimes I get so sipag that I update ALL in a day. Most of the time I am so tamad that I can only update a couple of blogs and leave the others with no updates for weeks on end.
But I have to seriously step up and organize my other blogs. ALL my blogs actually. I am planning on going back to the corporate world (truly VERY seriously this time around) so an organized schedule for updates as well as getting ahold of the exact number of blogs that I can manage once I am back in the daily grind of the corporate life is very important to determine as early as now.
I will do it this weekend. I will make a calendar for the remaining days of 2012 so that I have a firmer grasp of where I am in my blogging schedule and organization.
It will be a very busy weekend for me. I hope you will have fun with your love ones wherever you may be...

Inspiring!
It is so inspiring to have a new template or theme going in your blog. I just changed the template of my blog Sporadic Thoughts and I think I've written one update after another in it since. It is just so inspiring!
And I am loving the new template. Red is definitely making my blood come to life!
Would you visit it and leave a comment please? Possibly in the most recent posts like my Batman Nail Art entry or the Sweetest Love music video I like a lot or even in my entry which says that I changed the blog's template.
See you there, guys!

August 3
I will be turning 34 tomorrow. Halfway through my life and it makes me think if I have lived a life worth being proud of.
I could say that as a daughter and sister, I may have led an above average life. But being an individual, a member of society, I don't think I've lived a good life. I didn't go out much, socialize much (except online) and didn't make friends offline that much. I don't have a sport or any particular outdoor game I enjoy. I don't travel as much as I would want to (due to financial constraints) and have not even gotten to know the local neighborhood because I'd rather be inside the house than socialize with neighbors. The only outdoor stuff I do? Go to the mall at least once a week!
I remember when I was 29 years old I told myself that as soon as I hit 30 I would do all those stuff I've been wanting to do: go out on weekends and travel with friends or by my lonesome. I also gave myself time before I hit 35 to get my own place.
But things have a way of taking over :(
My mom got sick and passed away. My grandma followed suit. My finances underwent a dive when things changed in the blogging world and, well, I had to take care of the family more than anything else.
So now I am 34. I go out from time to time to see my girl best friends. We eat out and have coffee. We watch a movie and go malling from time to time. We traveled to Hong Kong last December 2011. Apart from that, not much has happened.
Lest you make a wrong assumption, I am not complaining here. I am stating facts. I have accomplished very little of what I put out when I was 29. Now, 366 days before I hit 35, I am still the same, with very little to my name, and very few in my remarkable memory box.
I ought to do something drastic to change that.
Hmm...
