Made my day! =)

I am a big fan of Fully Booked. I frequent the one in SM North Edsa's The Block. I just discover so many of the books I am looking for in it. I also check out their site for the bestsellers.

I tweeted this out at noon...

And then after less than an hour, I got the email above. Lucy of Fully Booked is now following me on Twitter! Yay!

What a day! ;)

Tomorrow, I will be back in Fully Booked buying one or two new novels again.

My stubborn dad

My dad is a very stubborn person. It is so hard to change his old ways. We cannot move forward as a family if he insists on doing things his way. You start cleaning junk in the house and you will find out later on that he kept some of the things we asked him to throw away. After a few months, it will form part of the junk in our house again.

I don't know how to improve the place we call home. I don't know anymore. There are household pests to kill. There are too much junk we need to sort out and throw away. There is still the problem with space. And then there's my dad's stubbornness and pride!

It's easier to deal with the pests, the junk and the space. It's harder to deal with a parent's hardheadedness.

No internet for a month?!?

Could you live without the internet for a month?

I don't think I can live without the internet for a month. Actually, even for two days, it already bothers me to be without it. First of all, my work is internet-based. No internet = no work for me. And no work means no income. Secondly, I feel connected with everyone and the world whenever I am online. Twitter, Facebook, my blogs. Lastly, the internet is really my means of being updated with the different issues around the world.

During Basyang and whenever there's no electricity, I spend my time chit chatting with my dad and my siblings. If there's enough light, I try to read. But then there's no beating being online. I can so much more when I am logged on to the internet.

What about you? I'm curious what your answer will be to the question at the start of this post...

MYM - Comfy hotel room

MellowYellowBadge

I have a thing for comfy-looking hotel rooms. It just makes me want to stay in and not go out for the duration of my stay. It might be because I come from a large family and the house is always in chaos. Junk everywhere and even when organized, it still feels stuffy. Or it might be that the house is always full of noise and I want some quiet time for myself.

Of course, I need the hotel room to be clean, most especially the bathroom.

What's the best hotel you've stayed at or been to? For me I think it's still Edsa Shangri-La Manila.

Happy Monday to all!

Cleaning, checking, changing.

I am loving the template maker of Blogger! I have redesigned three blog templates and I am in love with the backgrounds! I might be redesigning the template of this blog but I am still thinking about it.

I've been up since 4am today. Cleaning blogs, checking old entries, and changing templates. I overlooked one important detail and I am redoing much of what I did. But it's okay. I am really enjoying my day. I think I was able to post so many entries today than in the whole week!

I'll go back to checking out new designs in the template maker. If you find that the template here is changing, that's me trying out the designs I like :)

Junk on the second floor

It's been a while since I last posted an entry. I've been busy the past few days. Blessings came in and I had to take care of it first. But now that I'm done with everything, I will try to post some updates.

Not much have happened the past few days. I just had the second floor of our house cleaned. My sister saw two boxes full of bags so we're giving it all away. Some bags were used once or twice then discarded. Probably my sisters didn't like it. Or it's mine and I was done using it. Whichever, we are making younger cousins choose first then the rest will be given to a charity a street away. The same goes for the boxes of clothes, especially that of my mom's.

My dad also reminded me of the boxes of books I have upstairs. I'll have it brought down tomorrow so I can assess what needs to be given away, too. I have almost all of Anne Rice books, Sidney Sheldon, Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series, Sandra Brown, and lots and lots of historical romance novels. I am thinking of giving away some and keeping most that I liked.

Our house has so much junk in it. So many unnecessary items in it. I told my dad and my siblings that we are going to have a week-long assessment of the things we are keeping. We have limited space at home and we are going to drown from the sea of junk if we don't give away those that we don't need anymore.

I'll update you on what will happen once we sort old items out.

RT/WW: Giant dog and strawberry!

MYM: Yummy Cheesecake

MellowYellowBadge

This diner offers one of the yummiest cheesecakes I've ever tasted! Too bad I was not able to take a photo of the cheesecake. We ate it way too fast I think hehe

The place is called Everything Nice at the Camp John Hay in Baguio City. I would like to have a slice again. Soon.

Please visit my other blog, too.

Happy Monday everyone!

This is my newest fave song! White Dress by Ben Rector. Love, love, love this song!

I got this song from the wedding video of Tuesday Vargas. I haven't stopped listening since.

Goodbye June, Hello July!

It's July 1st already. Bilis ng panahon! We are already in the second half of the year. Before we know it, Christmas is upon us once again.

I have to save up for the holidays. Actually, I have to save up period. I used up whatever savings I have for my grandma so I need to replenish whatever I spent. I was actually hoping to save enough for me to bring the family somewhere special by December of this year. But I don't think I can anymore. Maybe by summer of next year then.

Anyway, I am busy with some pending tasks. I am also planning on doing two niche blogs. One is all about Wordpress and Blogger templates, plugins and everything about coding. The other one is about Twitter and my tweets. Hopefully, I can do all these this weekend. I really, really need an inspiration because I tend to stop in the middle of things. I have so many on my plate right now and all of it are important. I can't afford to waste my time.

Maybe a change in my home-office corner can help. There's a window to my left which always pulls me to look outside and there's the TV set to my right which lures me to waste my time watching. Of course, there are books around me which prove to be the harder temptation to beat. Hehehe

I am hoping to be able to accomplish a lot this July. I hope you pray with me for a productive and fruitful month for all of us.

Welcome July! Happy blogging to all of us and here's to a truly productive month!!! ♥
